Having fun isn't hard, when you've got a library card! There really is plenty to do within a library's quiet zone. To capture the importance of Toronto's very own in our loud and constantly updating society requires a visual connection in line with our current time.
Redesigning an identity required the initial understanding of the history and the people that make up an organization. Rooted in providing knowledge, the Toronto Public Library is guided by the drive for freedom for all.
Focusing on the essence of possibility, awaken, and reach, a new identity was born. To embody the Toronto Public Library's investment into our future through possibility, awaken a rediscovery of life no matter what age, and capture the influence of individuals as a collective through reach.
Through this project I learned how meticulous brand guidelines need to be. Aside from defining every don't, being able to create parameters for what's possible requires a brand that is in tune with their customers.
